Accreditation
Firstly as an ARMS graduate you most definitely qualify for membership of the Massage Association of Australia, and yes you are definitely able to get insurance through them.
Secondly as we do not run Certificate 4 courses you cannot get accreditation for Health funds.
Please allow me to reiterate and explain further. I did seriously consider becoming a Registered Training Organisation but after discussing this with my former graduates, all of which are experiencing great success, it was unanimous! We chose to continue to do what we do best: offer amazing Hands on Practical Skills that see our Graduates do very well within the industry and all at an affordable price.
The Only Benefit I see from completing a Certificate 4 course is Recognition from health funds, which really isn’t an issue if marketed correctly. In 2005 we had a number of Certificate 4 Graduates complete our whole body massage course, purely because they never had the confidence to give a practical, high quality and thorough Massage, as all they had done was mostly Theory. This includes one lady who had spent $12,000 and was Certificate 4 Remedial Accredited. This I find very sad.
Every year over 3000 Masseurs Quit. Why? One of the main reasons I believe is because they did not know how to achieve amazing results with their treatments.
Let me ask you, If you had a muscular problem that was causing you a lot of discomfort, who would you rather go to? Someone who offers Health rebates and is accredited Certificate 4, or someone who can most likely fix your problem?
I know where I would rather go and this is what's behind my success and what's behind the success of many of our students who have completed our Career Pathways.
Finally with Certificate 4 it will cost you between $6,000 - $12,000 plus ongoing every year continued training to maintain your accreditation.

Thanks for a great day on Saturday 8th April 06 at Parramatta RSL Club.
It's unbelievable what happened to me in the 24 hours since the completion of the course.
I went straight home and treated my wife's Tennis Elbow, with astounding results. Her pain was gone almost immediately and she regained the freedom of movement she hasn't enjoyed for months.
The next day I went to my sons' Soccer game. I massaged a player who had an impact on his upper back some weeks previous. I did his whole back and his hamstrings. When I released some pressure on the superior tendon he remarked that he did not play much the year before because of a groin strain which was eventually traced to this very same tendon. He lasted the whole game, without a worry.
When we got home, my son said he had injured his wrist at work last week, but he doubted that I could do much for it. I just said, "let me have a go at it" and I did some CTR on his whole arm (after I did his back and shoulders). He burst into the bathroom an hour later, where I was enjoying a relaxing bath, showing me he now had a vast increase in the mobility of his wrist. The pain had almost gone.
And all this in 24 hours.
In hindsight, I think I did the second course for a bit of creditability, you know, having another certificate says, "I told you so" to the doubters. But I have to tell you, if so much can happen in one day, it's looking good from here.
I must stress that the problems I've listed above are not fully cured, but with the added confidence you've given me, I can treat these and more people better and better.
